Twenties Jazz:
The goal of this project was to create a motion graphic using shapes and symbols. My piece, known as "Twenties Jazz," was inspired by the 1920s. However, the name also alludes to the year in which it was created. In order to create a "classy" look, I utilized a black and gold color palette. Furthermore, I referenced musical instruments, and the aesthetic of downtown New Orleans. For this project, I collaborated with two other students: a dance student and another graphic design student. Although we each created our own unique compositions, we all had very similar goals. For instance, we each wanted to create an upbeat composition that simulated the rhythmic nature of our music.
